Stupid Ransomware Family Decryption with StupidDecrypter

January 1, 2019Simeon Georgiev

Stupid ransomware was the name given to a family of ransomware that was typically used by a group of less-skilled developers. Most of these were based on themes that were derived from law enforcement agencies, pop-culture or movies.

If you are infected by this family of ransomware, then the good news is that they use static encryption keys which make ransomware removal easy. This can be done using Michael Gillespie’s decryptor which has been aptly named the ‘StupidDecryptor’. This application consists of all the known decryption keys for the different variants of stupid ransomware. With the help of this app, your ransomware removal needs will surely be fulfilled.

In order to use this variant, you will first have to identify whether your problem is actually from among the stupid ransomware family. This is why we’ve come up with a list of known variants and these include the following file extensions:

  • .666
  • Adam
  • Alosia
  • Android
  • ANNABELLE
  • Anon
  • Bycicle
  • Corrupted
  • Crypted
  • CYRON
  • Deria
  • Devil
  • Doxes
  • Encrypt
  • eTeRnItY
  • FailedAccess,
  • .fun,
  • H34rtBl33d,
  • Harzhuangzi,
  • Haters
  • .iGotYou,
  • jeepers,
  • jigsaw
  • .killedXXX,
  • Lock
  • Malki

All you will have to do is follow the simple instructions of the decryptor in order to have your encrypted files restored. The ransomware removal process, however, will require you to have an encrypted and decrypted version of a file on the infected system. This can be done by encrypting a picture from your sample pictures folder and using the pair in the application.

In order to determine whether your system has been cleared off all threats, you can even use this software for a full system scan.
