Rubric Releases a Machine Learning-Based Ransomware Removal Solution

July 30, 2018Simeon Georgiev

Ransomware removal experts advise that businesses use backup software for not only mundane IT tasks like recovering a deleted file or restoring a server. There is a bigger aspect of maintaining a backup of sensitive corporate data; it can play a vital role for businesses when dealing with a ransomware.

According to ransomware removal experts when hackers infect businesses with a ransomware, they have leverage because often many businesses, especially the ones who take their cybersecurity lightly, do not have any duplicate data stored as a backup measure. Thus, they are left to the whims of cybercriminal groups and are often forced to pay a fine in order to get access to their data back.

Details of the Solution

Fortunately, a startup Rubric Inc. is working to lessen cyberthreats and minimize the possibility of data becoming compromised in the hands of hackers. Rubric has released a solution named as Radar to combat this. With Radar, businesses will be able to deal with the rising threat of ransomware effectively.

The vision behind the release of Radar is its integration with the entire remediation procedure involved in the event of a ransomware attack. This means it will be able to detect and inform the systems about the infection of a ransomware in a computer terminal. A Rubric spokesperson said that with the emergence of Radar, system administrators will have the functionality to resume the system to its original state with minimal clicks.

The best feature of the solution is its reliance on the modern-day technology, Machine Learning (ML). With ML-based algorithms, businesses will be able to detect and analyze the difference between a normal activity and dangerous activity, coming as part of their traffic in the systems. As Machine Learning will automate the security, organizations will be able to detect and respond to a ransomware before manual intervention.
