Problems with Antivirus Software

June 9, 2019Simeon Georgiev

Finding flawless and fully efficient antivirus software is impossible. Humans design antivirus software so a hundred percent accuracy cannot be achieved. Today, we are going to make you aware of some of the problems and hurdles created by some antivirus software.

Do Antivirus Software Providers Transact From Your Account Without Permission?

Yes, it’s happening right there! Some of the antivirus software providers ask you to give the account details for the annual subscription fee. Once you paid the subscription fee, they should not use your account details further, but they do.

For instance, McAfee and Symantec deduct money from their users account for renewal cost without even informing the users. Be aware of this auto billing process.

Save Your Device From Fake Antivirus Software

Another common problem faced by antivirus users is that they download fake antivirus software. Such software brings no good to their device instead cause a lot of problem for them. The worst thing about counterfeit software is that it can’t be uninstalled easily – you have to take help from any professional.

Do You Check Files Before Removing Them?

Although your antivirus software must check and differentiate between a malicious file and a standard file sometimes, it does not fulfill its duty. Your antivirus software may identify some data as harmful, but they are not. In this way, you will end up deleting some important files and programs as well. So make sure to check every file and program before deleting it.

Is Your Antivirus Software Working Throughout?

We have identified another common problem in popular antivirus software. The problem is when you install the antivirus software, it works very well and detects all the previously attacked viruses. Unfortunately, over time, the antivirus software becomes incompatible with the other programs installed on your device. Initially, this incompatibility is resolved by making little changes in the settings, but gradually, it becomes worse.

Limitations And Restrictions

All internet users across the globe must be familiar with virus, worms, hackers, and other malicious software. People want to get their hands on the perfect antivirus software. Perfection demands software that should be powerful enough to fight against all the malicious attackers. People are striving for all-in-one sort of software.

Unfortunately, there is no such software which is capable of protecting against all sorts of malicious software and attackers. All types of software come with certain limitations and restrictions. For instance, if your software is protecting your device from a virus, you have to install more software to protect your device from worms and hackers.

The installation of so many software and programs demands a lot of space too. So it is a great trouble for the people. It is almost impossible to find software with all the desired characteristics. Despite all these facts, users are still hopeful that sooner or later, manufacturers will come up with something exciting and satisfactory.
