April 18, 2019Simeon Georgiev

Malicious software called ransomware is making the lives of many miserable by abandoning the victim from accessing his own data. It makes the victim pay a ransom for accessing the data, but no more as we are here to brighten up your life by suggesting five easy ways to prevent ransomware so give this article a careful read!

If you are still struggling against ransomware or you want to protect your device from future attacks, then go through these catchy techniques to include in your ransomware recovery plan:

Don’t Pay a Single Penny

If you think that paying ransom will give you access to your data, then you are totally mistaken! Attackers will ask you to pay and once you have paid the payment, they will keep on threatening you. So you don’t have to give a single penny to such attackers and look for further solutions.

Secure Your Personal Details

Before replying to any particular email, phone call, message or any inquiry about your personal information, review the masking agent. You will be shocked to know that such attackers ask personal information and claim themselves to be from your IT department. You should make an inquiry from your IT department before providing all your personal details.

Let’s Restore

You have a reasonable option to restore your files from a reputable restoring software, but stay away from fake backups! It is the easiest and fastest way to get your data back. All you have to do is find a reputable, recommended and secure backup or restoring system and install it on your device for further uses.

Updated System and Security Scanners

You should pay a little attention to the available updates for your system. Update your system, all the installed programs and restart your network. Prevent the malicious software by keeping up-to-date with your previously installed antivirus software. There are various exploit kits which are purposely installed on different websites to spread the malware and viruses. If you want to get rid of them, then keep your system up to date.

Get your hands on the most incredible software tool that should fight against the ransomware. Find such a security scanner that does not conflict with other programs of your computer. Make sure to install a reliable security scanner that should expose all the attackers and malicious software before they corrupt the files and data on your device.

Public Wi-Fi Threat

People are drooling over public Wi-Fi without knowing the consequences! Public Wi-Fi is the most powerful tool used for attacking personal computers and getting their data. So if you are traveling, living near a public place or randomly got access to any open Wi-Fi, please make sure to use it carefully. First of all don’t use it, secondly, if you have to use it for any urgent task then use reliable VPN.

Above mentioned ways and techniques are simple yet very helpful for those who are fighting against ransomware. Now, you don’t have to put enormous efforts to get rid of this malicious software instead implements the techniques and make them a  part of your ransomware recovery.
