“Police themed” – How to remove ransomware

March 12, 2018Simeon Georgiev

As times change, they tend to bring in an entirely new breed of technological innovations with them. Each distinct era in human history is laced with examples of how the different needs of each era have ultimately defined the technological leaps of that time. However, there is a downside to this. As our technologies become more advanced, methods of using them for ulterior motives have also evolved accordingly.

From bank check frauds to stealing ATM machines, a new era has always brought forward entirely different methods of stealing. That notorious honor for this era goes to online theft and methods of extortion. Among them, the principle method is known as “ransomware”. Recently, online hackers have come up with a new “police-themed” ransomware that is mean to intimidate and scare its victims into paying the ransom amount. Luckily, there’s a very simple method to remove ransomware of this kind.

The “police-themed” ransomware has been causing a lot of stir recently because of the hike in the number of its victims. These victims have been clamoring for an effective ransomware removal technique. A user infected with this sort of a ransomware will find their screen displaying a warning message. This message states that the user’s computer has been locked due to illegal activities being carried out on it. This message is completely fake. The most likely cause of being infected is that a website with malicious scripts was accessed by the user.

As mentioned before, while the number of people that get affected by the “police ransomware” remains high, it’s very easy to find a company to help you out.

What is the difference between finding a ransomware removal tools and hiring a company. Generally speaking, you can find almost everything online. The problem is when we are talking about decrypting sensitive information. Very often people who are trying to remove ransomware, end up loosing all of their files forever. Maybe that is not a big deal when we speak about your personal laptop, but when you are a business, that can put your business in danger.
