Keep A Close Look On Your Software Updates

June 6, 2019Simeon Georgiev

Have you ever received numerous reminders of updating your apps or software and you’ve kept on clicking “Remind me later”? Do you also want to get rid of these little reminders and update your phone whenever you want to?

Well! If your answer to the above questions is “YES”, then you need to pay attention to the article below that focuses on the importance of software updates and why we should keep our phone up to date every time?

It mostly pops up at the most unfortunate timing, when you are running late and have to make an important call, or when your phone battery is about to die. What else can you expect in such situations rather than clicking the Remind me later option?

Following are points that let you know how to look at your updates and why they are necessary:

Actively working cyber-criminal or hackers

All hackers and cybercriminals are always in distress searching for codes to decode or find loopholes in distinct systems to enter into it. If we may continue to use a similar type of software, it would be a plus point for them and a negative aspect for us. We would be preyed by them and they may end up entering and hacking our system.

It’s a game between the hackers and software houses. As soon as the hacker finds a gateway to our system, the software house releases another software and we are continuously reminded to update our phone or system.

Save your documents

Do you know? Updating your software alleviates the risk of losing your documents. You would never after reading this ignore the pop-up window that asks you to update your software. All the documents saved in your system – information of clients or bank details, salary details or details related to your employees – everything can be deleted and all your data can be lost if any kind of malware enters the system.

Updating your system and software would reduce the high risk of losing your files and you’ll be able to save them.

Do not let the virus pass to a friend

There is a higher risk that if your system is corrupted with any kind of virus, then it would cause neighboring systems to be corrupt as well. Using USB’s or connecting one PC to another may link systems and the virus can spread from one to another. Whereas if it is up to date, you’ll get quick warnings before receiving any file from an outside source.

Don’t miss out on exciting features

Most of the time, you don’t really notice the changes in the apps and software after their daily updates, but there are times when updating a software changes the complete outlook of your phone or updating an application includes new features to it and also there are times when they change their logos as well. So you remain updated about each change around you.
